Why is my AC leaking water?

What does Comfort Club maintenance include?

During a Comfort Club tune-up, a licensed Tucfrez HVAC technician completes a full system inspection; thermostat and temperature checks; electrical component inspection; capacitor and contactor testing; a drain line flush and drain pan inspection; a condenser coil rinse; blower and airflow inspection; refrigerant and performance checks; and an air filter inspection.

Can maintenance help prevent drain-line clogs?

Yes. Preventative service can address drain-line buildup before it contributes to a blockage.

How do I know if my ductwork is leaking?

Uneven temperatures, weak airflow, and longer AC runtimes can point to duct problems. A licensed Tucfrez HVAC technician can inspect the ductwork and determine whether the air-distribution system is involved.

Can bad ductwork make my AC run longer?

UV-LIGHT

What are HVAC UV lights?

HVAC UV lights use ultraviolet light within or around parts of the HVAC system. Product-specific UV-C solutions may help inhibit microbial growth on irradiated HVAC surfaces and components. Ask Tucfrez about available UV-light options when requesting repair, maintenance, installation, or a new-construction project.

Can a UV light be added to an air handler with existing mold, or should it be cleaned first?

Existing mold should be cleaned and the source of excess moisture corrected before a UV light is installed. A UV light can help limit future microbial growth on components such as the evaporator coil and drain pan, but it does not remove existing mold or replace proper cleaning. A Tucfrez technician can inspect the air handler, check the coil and drain system, and recommend the appropriate cleaning and UV light solution for your system.

How often should an HVAC UV light be inspected, cleaned, or replaced?

A UV light should be checked during routine HVAC maintenance. Dust and residue can reduce its effectiveness, and the bulb should be replaced according to the manufacturer’s recommended schedule even if it still produces visible light. A Tucfrez technician can inspect the bulb, clean accessible components, verify that the light is positioned correctly, and let you know when replacement is needed.
